The five-day festival includes narrative features, documentaries, short films, spotlight screenings and conversations, live staged screenplay readings, the Urbanworld Digital track focused on digital and social media, and Urbanworld Music, which highlights emerging talent in live performances during after party events.
The Urbanworld Film Festival is an initiative of the Urbanworld Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization that endeavors to consistently manifest its mission of redefining and advancing the presence and impact of the multicultural community in cinema and cross-platform media.

AFF accepts feature films and shorts (drama, documentary, hybrid, experimental and animation) made in Australia and internationally. These can be any length or genre.
Films can be submitted via www.filmfestivallife.com which can be accessed via the AFF website (adelaidefilmfestival.org) or directly.
All films submitted will be eligible for AFF Foxtel Movies Audience Award. Feature films will be eligible for selection for the Foxtel Movies Best International Feature Film (AUD$25,000) and feature length documentaries will be eligible for Flinders University Best Documentary Award (AUD$10,000)
